Starry Starry Night Car Show – June 22, 2009

The MCWV hosted the Starry Starry Night Car Show on June 22, 2009, at the Hill’s Plaza in Charleston, WV, with 75 cars in attendance. There were all makes and models of cars; games for everyone, and a silent auction to raise money for Make-A-Wish.

Historic Bramwell, WV – May 2009

MCWV made a trip to historic Bramwell, WV on May 9, 2009. The historic homes are open in May and October for tours. Residents dress in period costumes as they welcome visitors to their homes.

MCWV Annual Business Meeting & Party

For the last 20 years, the MCWV has held its annual business meeting and party the third weekend in January. While the locaton has changed many times, the turnout is always great. Club members and their families, along with guests and special speakers, attend and are treated to great food and fellowship. A review of the past year’s events are made; plans for the next year’s schedule are discussed and awards presented to club members for their outstanding performance and contributions to the club.

MCWV Visits Holman-Moody

Members of the MCWV had the unique opportunity to visit part of racing history. They journeyed to the race shop of Holman-Moody next to Charlotte-Douglas Airport in NC. They opened their race shop up on a Saturday for the one-on-one guided tour. The photos tell the story of this racing legend. For a complete history of Holman-Moody go to

MCWV Participates in West Virginia International Car Show

For three consecutive years, the MCWV has participated in the West Virginia International Car Show at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, WV. This show is held in January each year. The MCWV’s display is on the upper level of the civic center and the cars must be hoisted by a crane to reach the upper level. The photos show this delicate process while the owners watch closely to ensure their prized cars arrive safely.

The MCWV Visits Amish Country October 2008

In October ’08, several members of the MCWV and their families made a weekend trip to the Ohio Amish country. They visited many interesting sites, including the Canton Auto Museum.

MCWV Helps Mustang Admirer Turn 50! September 2008

The MCWV helped Fred Westfall turn 50 in early September ’08. Blake (Fred’s wife) contacted the MCWV and asked if we could help Fred celebrate turning 50. He has always admired the Mustang and she thought it’d be cool to have some show up on his special day.

Several members from the MCWV showed up and surprised Fred. After looking the cars over, the MCWV group cruised to the site of Fred’s party. Fred even got to drive a member’s early Mustang convertible to commemorate his special day.

28th Annual All-Ford Car Show West Virginia State Capitol Complex - September 28, 2008

There were 79 cars registered.

The cloudy weather kept many folks from coming out to enjoy the festivities.
